UCSB Beach Chronologic Sequence - April 1962 - January 2020

| UCSB Beach, 18 February 2009. 12:20 pm, - 1 ft low tide. Only a thin layer of sand partly covers the bedrock platform. Until the storm a few days ago, waves had not washed any of the sea cliff north of the Anacapa steps. This past storm washed only parts of the cliff, mainly from the steps to the promontory in front of BioSci II. Otherwise pockets retained their beach sand, although a berm was at the front of each one. ©AGS2009 |
