This view represents an early stage in the trestle construction long before the stringers were attached. I set the bents at predetermined positions along the track indicated by the red ribbons, whose numbers correspond to numbers on the bents. Not all bents are the same height because of the variable height of the ground relative to the track height, so I had to know which bent belonged where all during construction.
