Next step was to demolish the old concrete sidewalk wall. I relaid a course of the old sidewalk stone as a base for the slumpstone wall, because initially I intended to rebuild the wall - just farther out from where it had been. But after relaying a course of the old stone, I decided I'd do the rest of the wall with slumpstone and go ahead and use the first course of old stone for a base.
