Day Eight, from Mile 156 to National Canyon. I was with Peter Gross in "Sespe." We crossed the river immediately to Havasu Creek so that 8 of us could race the 5 1/2 miles up Havasu Canyon to Mooney Falls. I made it up there in 2:15 hrs and back in 2:30 hrs. Then we rowed without incident to National Canyon where we had a big volleyball game. Camped at Mile 166.5 at National Canyon. Chili rellenos for dinner. |
